Threshold-Crossing Courage
some doors only open one way. she stands with you as you walk through.
she wants
ritual support for a big, irreversible decision — moving, quitting, leaving, starting
she casts on
waxing or full moon
Tuesday
what you gather
- ·a doorway you can actually walk through (any real threshold in your home)
- ·a red or gold candle, placed just past the threshold
- ·one sentence, decided in advance, naming what you're leaving behind
the working
- Ilight the candle on the far side of the doorway, so it's visible as you approach.
- IIstand at the threshold. Speak your one sentence aloud.
- IIIspeak the incantation.
- IVstep through deliberately, slowly, not rushing it.
- Von the other side, don't look back through the doorway. Sit with the candle a moment.
- VIsnuff it. The crossing is done; the follow-through starts now.
she speaks
"I'm not asking permission to change. I'm marking the moment I already decided. I cross. I don't uncross."
she expects
A felt sense of finality that can steady real-world follow-through — the ritual marks the decision, it does not make the practical parts of the change easier on its own.
