she's holding the light. step toward it. drawn upright, the hermit speaks of solitude, inner guide, wisdom. she reads it as a turning toward the thing, not away from it — the lantern made plain.
reversed — what she withholds
the door is open. you're calling it locked. reversed, the card turns inward — isolation, withdrawn, lost. not a curse. a closed door you keep your own hand on.
