upright — what she sees
the chain is loose. you're holding the key in your other hand. drawn upright, the devil speaks of shadow, attachment, addiction. she reads it as a turning toward the thing, not away from it — the chain made plain.
reversed — what she withholds
you saw it. that's the whole thing. reversed, the card turns inward — release, awakening, broken pattern. not a curse. a closed door you keep your own hand on.
